Who is eligible & how do I register?
Meals on Wheels Central Coast’s meal delivery and social support services are available to Central Coast seniors, people with a disability, and their carers. To be eligible for these services, you must reside on the NSW Central Coast and meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Aged 65 years or over
- Aged 50 years or over and identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
- Have a registered disability
- Primary carer of someone with a registered disability
Depending on your assessment outcome, the registration process is different.
- CHSP: If you are 65 years or over (or 50 years or over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders), we require a referral from the government organisation, My Aged Care. - SAH: If you are on a Support at Home Package, you can choose to have Meals on Wheels Central Coast as your meal provider. You can be new to our service, or transitioning from the Commonwealth Home Support Program. The choice of meal provider is yours.
- NDIS: If you are under the age of 65 (or under 50 years for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders) and living with or caring for someone with a registered disability, we generally require a referral from the NDIS.
